Hello... If I form an LLC in NM, can I do business in NC?
I have a Property Management Company in Nevada, am I able to manage properties in other states? Or do I need to be licensed there as well? What about managing in Arizona?
I currently am interested in opening a foreign s-corp in WY for my online retail business, (which has no physical presence, store, etc). However, since both of the current business owners are in PA - we assume that we would need to establish a "nexus" here in PA and register in PA as a foreign entity. My question is, (not sales tax) but with corporate income tax. I need to know - since I have a nexus in PA (administrative only - no interaction with public) am I paying corporate income tax in Pennsylvania and, for that matter, if we expand in each state that we have a nexus/presence?
I have an S-corporation in California for 10 years. All my business is in California. I recently moved to Arizona but still do all business in California. Do I need to move my S corporation to Arizona? or how do I do my tax return?

I have been encouraged to form a Nevada LLC because of the tax benefits. However, my place of business is in Utah (and I might be moving it to another state). On top of this I do business all around the U.S. selling my products and services to multiple states.
If I form an LLC in Nevada do I only have to worry about Nevada taxes (no income tax) and Federal taxes?
Do I also have to pay Utah taxes on my net revenue because I have my physical address here?
Would I have to pay taxes to other states where I do business?
Any help on these questions would be really appreciated!
I moved from FL to SC and have started a mobile truck repair business. I still have a FL address where all my equipment is still registered. Do I need to form an LLC in FL at that address or move everything to SC. I will be doing repairs in the whole south east.
I'm currently in a General Partnership ("DBA") in OR with one other person. We self-publish e-books to various retailers online. I do most of the business side of things on my computer while using Paypal for transactions, e-mailing my free-lancers to keep them on schedule, and handling all phone calls on my cell in addition to writing content for publication. My business partner handles the editing of each manuscript that comes our way and promotes the books online through social media and message forums. Now, she is moving out of state to California. If she continues the same tasks, which she wants to, (I will mail her a printed copy of each manuscript for her to edit), would that be considered "doing business" in CA even though it seems to me no transaction is taking place? Would her share of income be considered "doing business" in CA or OR when I mail her share as a check (i.e. what state taxes that money)? Would we need to register our partnership as a Foreign Entity in CA even though the main operations is within OR using my computer online?
Thanks for your time.
I'm a FL based S corp with 90% of income from work in GA, what do I need to do to comply in both FL and GA. I have a payroll service that has taken care of employee's. Owner was not paid thru payroll service.
I am a freelance fabricator working mostly in NYC, and I am planning to start renting a small workshop in Brooklyn. I am looking to start an LLC.
Does it make sense to incorporate (LLC) my business in Wyoming to avoid New York income taxes even though I will be filing as a "foreign entity" in NYC? I would still be paying a "franchise tax" under NY regulation.
Since Wyoming has no income tax on LLC's, I believe I would be saving my small business a good deal of taxation.
Any advice greatly appreciated.
I live in CA, but I’m planning to buy rental properties in MO, OH. Pretty much all of the investors I know have told me that I should set up an LLC in NV (or Wyoming) and foreign register in MO, OH for a number of great reasons; NV offers no taxes, complete anonymity of the members, etc. But others have told me that those benefits only work in NV State, and that if a tenant in MO sues me, LLC in NV doesn't do anything good because it's in different jurisdiction.
Many people I know espouse forming an LLC in NV heavily over in MO or OH, and I think there must be a reason. But if the foreign registered LLC in MO becomes subject to the laws of MO, why would I set up an LLC in NV? What would be the best way to set up an LLC for the long business goal? Thank you.
My Background :
I got a job as a IT contractor (for 6 months extendable) in Illinois and needed to form an LLC to do a Corp to Corp with a Recruitment company in California. The end client for which I'm hired is in Illinois so I will need to relocate to Illinois.
For this job I formed an LLC in Nevada using my friend's address in Virginia (I was living there at the time and I do not have a home state as I'm flexible and willing to move anywhere). I do not see myself staying in Illinois for longer than 6 months to a year.
I registered my LLC in Nevada a couple of months ago.
Two questions I have:
Q1 - Now that I am receiving payment for my work as IT contractor, do I need to register my LLC in Illinois as a foreign corporation ? Does taking or not taking Home office deductions matter in this case ?
Q2 - In the near future I plan to offer other IT services (like consultancy and staffing contractors) to other companies (outside of Illinois). All of these will be done as a Corp to Corp with no employees in the state of Illinois. Do I need to register my company in Illinois as Foreign corporation at that time ?
Answers to these questions will be really appreciated.
