I live in Oregon owning rental properties in AZ and thinking of buying in Texas. I currently have 1 LLC in Oregon with two members, my husband and I, what's the best LLC structure to address my situation?
My husband and I have a small dairy. If we run the farm as a sole proprietorship and keep the money separate, can I sign checks on the business account, or will that raise red flags?
Hi,
I plan on creating a "nexus" (bank account, registered agent, phone# in directory etc) in Wyoming and receive and ship products out of my apartment in Virginia.
I will be selling my products via Amazon.com, ebay, and my own website and ship them out of my apartment in virginia.
What taxes would I have to pay in virginia if I receive all money through my business bank account in Wyoming? And what would save me the most money? incorporating a LLC or a S Corp.
Thank you in advance!
I am a NY resident looking to incorporate in NV or WY, I do not have an office in NY. I am on board for a long-term consulting gig in NJ. I have a couple of questions.
1- Would NY be able to claim Nexus just due to me being a corporate officer in a NV corp?
2- Would I be able to deduct mileage from my home in NY to drive to NJ, being that there is no corporate headquarters?
3- How would payroll work? Does NV corp need to withhold NY or NV taxes?
4- Does anything change if I would use WY instead of NV?
Thanks!
Is there any reason not to form our LLC in Arkansas since we live in Arkansas and will be conducting at least some of our business here?
How long does it take to incorporate in Wyoming?
Can I use an LLC and register my vehicles? How do I register vehicles this way?
Does each service under a corporation need to be its own company?
I'm running two distinct businesses: (1) online sales of products I ship from NY and (2) income tax preparation services, from an office located in NY. I want to incorporate a single general business entity that I can run both businesses under. Is there anything compelling about Wyoming or Nevada, in terms of indemnification, that would make me want to incorporate in either of those states? I completely understand that there is ZERO tax benefits, since my nexus is in NY and I will be paying taxes to NY either way. I am more worried about a lawsuit from a customer - does that worry make it enough reason to incorporate in either WY or NV? If it's nominal then the extra overhead of registering a foreign corp in NY is probably not worth it. I was hoping to get some clarification on this point.

What is the process of moving privately held real estate into a new series LLC/cells?
After appling for an LLC, are there any monthly fees involved and how are they calculated ?
I currently live in NY, but I don't own property here, and I don't pay rent. I am temporarily living with family. I do receive mail here, but have not earned income in NY since 2002. I move around quite a bit.... I am starting a photography tour company and none of my tours will take place in NY. Locations for tours will vary and often one tour will travel to multiple states. Currently I have tours that will spend time in WY, MT, AK, CO, NM, UT, AZ, CA, and NV. Eventually, I also want to offer tours in international destinations. I don't plan to move to another location or rent an office or space anywhere at this point. Would forming an LLC in WY make sense for me? Once I get established, I don't see NY as being the best location to be based from, as most of my US tours will be in the west. If I were to form an LLC in WY now, and later find myself setting up a base of operations in CA or NV for example, would moving the LLC be relatively easy? Thank you.
What are the advantages for creating an LLC in Virginia versus Maryland?
Can I check the business name for LLC to see if I can use it?
I live in PA and want to start a home based single level direct selling/party plan business. I would purchase merchandise to include in sales kits which will be sold online. I will also store merchandise to fill orders. I would purchase products from another state, delivered to my home in PA, and ship products from my home either as part of a start up kit or to fill orders.
I planned to incorporate in Wyoming and want to transaction business there. Would I need to register in PA if I'm not selling in PA? Also, which state would I obtain the reseller certificate?
Are there any advantages forming an LLC in one state over another? i.e. Delaware or Nevada?
I presently reside in Cleveland, OH and I could use an LLC for my new venture. Problem is that in 2 to 4 months I'll relocate to Texas, which is, apparently, the biz-friendliest state in US. I probably cannot get an LLC in Texas as an OH resident since my address is in Cleveland and I have an Ohio Driver License. If I get an LLC in Ohio and then relocate to TX do I have to close the one in OH and start from scratch (as for the papers) in TX? Or I can just keep the Ohio LLC but pay the taxes as a Texas resident?
Please explain your fee, process and timing to rush and acquire a California S Corp within a week.
I have been operating as SASSY TRAVEL since 2004 in Ohio. Thinking I might need to get a LLC because my business is growing and growing. What do you think? Is the cost really only $184.00?? I am a sole proprietor.
I'm going to be starting an online art gallery and want to figure out where I should set up my business. I do have one foreign investor so will probably go with the LLC structure (over an S corp). In addition to the online gallery, I will most probably have a few physical art shows/ exhibitions throughout the year in Chicago (where I live). It seems that if I use a Delaware LLC, I will still have to pay the foreign entity fees in IL (due to the art shows) and those fees are the same as filing for an Illinois LLC outright. Is that true? If so, then what are the benefits of going with a Delaware LLC? Also, do I have to charge Chicago sales tax on everything I sell even if I choose the Delaware LLC? Thanks for your help!
Is it a good idea to incorporate for the sole purpose of protecting assets even if you don't have an actual business?
