I'm a USA photographer living in Italy. I travel for work between the US and Europe and would like to establish a US address for my business (most of my income comes from royalties from stock photos in NY and LA but I do have some photo assignments in the US and in Europe). 6. Running an LLC from abroad

    Hi,

I'm looking at starting up a small sewing business online in the near future. This summer, though, I will be moving to Germany for 3 years. As a U.S. citizen is it possible to start an L.L.C. here in the state I am residing in, and run it from my address in Germany? Or would I need to get a GmbH? Also, would I need to pay both U.S. taxes and German taxes?

I appreciate any help you can give!

    Sincerely,
    Sarah D.

I would like to register an LLC in Wyoming, but I plan on using property in other states for my datacenter infrastructure for my online services. Does this qualify as doing foreign business? And if so do I get double corporate taxed? I am also located in Canada, but all my business is done online and through the internet so I should be exempt from paying coprorate tax here even if a sale is made and delievered to Canada, right?

  22. US citizen working for US company as a telecommuter in Spain

I have requested to work remotely (aka telecommute) for my company for a 6 month period. I am currently employed out of the Colorado office, my company is headquartered out of California, and I would be living in Spain.

My company has told me that I cannot telecommute from Spain is because if I am working from a foreign country for more than 8 weeks, there are tax and worker compensation laws that require my company (a corporation) to be registrerd in Spain.

In my case, I would still be an employee of the Denver office, my paychecks would still be direct deposited into my bank account in Colorado, and therefore I understand that the applicable taxes would still be Federal and State of Colorado taxes. I will not be performing any work for a Spanish client, and all of my work will be still be US-based work.

Does my employeer need to pay any taxes in Spain in this scenario?

    Thank you!
