Hi,
I'm looking at starting up a small sewing business online in the near future. This summer, though, I will be moving to Germany for 3 years. As a U.S. citizen is it possible to start an L.L.C. here in the state I am residing in, and run it from my address in Germany? Or would I need to get a GmbH? Also, would I need to pay both U.S. taxes and German taxes?
I appreciate any help you can give!
Sincerely,
Sarah D.
If a Canadian (Alberta resident) couple and American (California resident) couple set up a company (online business in worldwide marketplace), what country is most desirable for each couple and the business (from a taxation and ease of doing business)?
I live in NY and intend to conduct all my business out of US. My customers feel more comfortable dealing with an American company - where should I incorporate?
I have requested to work remotely (aka telecommute) for my company for a 6 month period. I am currently employed out of the Colorado office, my company is headquartered out of California, and I would be living in Spain.
My company has told me that I cannot telecommute from Spain is because if I am working from a foreign country for more than 8 weeks, there are tax and worker compensation laws that require my company (a corporation) to be registrerd in Spain.
In my case, I would still be an employee of the Denver office, my paychecks would still be direct deposited into my bank account in Colorado, and therefore I understand that the applicable taxes would still be Federal and State of Colorado taxes. I will not be performing any work for a Spanish client, and all of my work will be still be US-based work.
Does my employeer need to pay any taxes in Spain in this scenario?
Thank you!
Can a California LLC open an office in Ukraine? What legal and tax hurdles can I expect?
Hi,
I'm planning to open a company in the USA. I'm a US Citizen, and would like to to have the S-Corp or LLC in Florida. The manufacturing and production of Apparel will be in Asia, India and Bangladesh. The importing would be done through LA and/or Miami.
I wanted to know what the best entity to use would be for a manufacturing/production company, having admin office in Florida but labor out of Asia. LLC or S-corporation? Also, are there any suggestions based on what you know of similar company setups?
Thank you!
As a foreign scientist I want to initiate a LLC in USA but only to sell OUTSIDE USA (technology products and services). What would be the best steps?
Thanks a lot
Hi Robert and the Gang!
I am thinking of setting up a single person (could be 2+ if that would be beneficial though) Nevada LLC, which I would like to serve as a holding company for two European companies selling services and products respectively, in Europe. The question I have for you is how to set this up in the most efficient way possible in the US? Would the US LLC become a "personal holding company" - which I have heard negative remarks about due to some extra taxing? I am non-US resident, and not yet sure how the cash flow of my business should go for most efficiency; stay in Europe or flow to the US LLC via dividends? Would any other state make a positive difference for my purpose e.g. New Mexico, Delaware, or Wyoming? No direct sales and no direct income will be made in the US, at this point. However, I do want the mother-company to be US based, due to potential future US business. Many thanks in advance for your support!
i live in New Zealand and my sister lives in Nashville, TN. We have started a small exporting business of childrens clothes from USA to NZ. I have incorporated our business here, but I want to incorporate in the States. My question is, would it be better to incorporate in Delaware as all of the items are sold in New Zealand. And if we do is it correct my sister only pays taxes on what she earns abroad? Can we incorporate both businesses together? Thanks for your time.
Hi, we have an internet-based concept that we want to start-up in the US. All of the shareholders are South Africans. In the US we'd need offices and employees. We will sell ad space to US-based clients mostly. We need 6 highly qualified employees and 18 medium and lower skilled employees. This business will start in the US and grow internationally over the next 5 years. We are currently very pressed for time. Please help me with the following:
Where should we be located?
What business type will be best for us? A Joint Venture with an existing in the US; Register in South Africa and Plant a branch in the US; New Company in the US; Something else?
To sum it up, we want to take the option that is going to meet the sufficient standards of our business, be cost-effective and will take the least possible amount of time to set up.
Kind Regards,
Hi hope this makes sense:
I'm a US citizen, VP of Canadian listed resource company with no US income, and I'm the only US citizen employed
I live and work in Mexico and file foreign earned income exclusion in the US
I understand we can... and I want the company to get an EIN and pay the US withholdings, SS and all
Will there be other problems like the co. will have to make US filings, or any other unforeseen consequences?
Hi! I'm presenting an Ukranian IT-outsourcing company, we are working with EU customers as well as with US customers. We are inerested in registering international company but can't decide what is the best choice for us: LLP in UK or LLC in US?

I am a Mexican citizen with legal residency in the US. I registered my jewelry design company as a sole proprietorship in NY, and I have recently moved to the UK for my husband's employment. I would like to know more information about running my business from abroad...like taxation and anything else I may need to know. Thank you for your help.
I have diaspora clients in the US, which wants to buy real estate in their home country. Unfortunately local regulations of their home country require to exchange USD in local currency at the time of purchase. Due to high inflation (25%+/year) the loss is programmed.
1. Would it be possible to setup a company in Wyoming or Delaware, which performs the sales in the US and then pays the construction company / real estate developer in the Diaspora's home country upon a payment plan to avoid the loss of inflation?
2. Would such business being taxable under US law or would it be considered as an tax free offshore business, since the value chain is outside of the US?
3. Would be an LLC a trustworthy setup or should it be another form of incorporation, since the company would act like a fund?
Thanks! Andrew
Hello! My name is Maxim. I import cars from USA to Russia. I am thinking of setting up company in USA and managing it from Russia without any employees in USA. Using company Bank account I am going to buy cars in USA and provide shipping to Russia. Is it possible? If yes, can I get a job visa to USA (just in case)? What type of entity would you suggest? If my profit is difference between money transfered to my account for certain cars and money spent for certain cars. Which state do you think is the best?
Thank you in advance,
