Non USA foreign entity wishing to form an LLC in Wyoming

May 10, 2011 Asked by Andrew

question:

I am an Australian citizen with a 5 year USA visa.
I wish to establish a LLC in Wyoming and would like the member to be my Australian company.
Can you confirm whether my Australian company can be the member and are there any other relevant details that I need to be aware of. EIN etc..

answer:

Andrew,

Yes, absolutely, a Wyoming LLC can be owned by any legal person, including foreign companies. As far as EIN goes you will be able to obtain the EIN for the Wyoming LLC by applying for it with your Australian company or yourself personally as the representative.
